Acciaierie elettriche Cogne - Girod (Cogne Girod Electrical Steelworks)

Founded in 1924 for the manufacture of special steels and for rolled and forged tools.

On 1 November 1927 a merger took place of the operations and management of Cogne-Girod and Ansaldo Cogne.

On 31 October 1927 Cogne-Girod closed its industrial operations and the company name became S.A. Nazionale Aosta Acciaierie, with headquarters in Turin.

In 1929 a new merger took place between SA. Nazionale Aosta, SA. Nazionale "Cogne" and the "Valpellice" mine, steelworks and foundry which gave rise to two new companies: "Cogne" and "Aosta", the first responsible for the mines, steel production and metallurgy, the second for the hydroelectric installations.
