Bombrini Archive

15 envelopes (1883-1933). Analytical Inventory

Donated in November 2002 by heir Amalita Bombrini, this archive gathers together primarily correspondence and documentation produced by the brothers Giovanni Bombrini (Genoa, 1838-1924) and Carlo Marcello Bombrini (Genoa, 1835-1910) as proprietors and managers of the Ansaldo plants.

The management activities include, in particular, the construction and sale of locomotives, "Elia" torpedoes and warships, the foreign markets, relations with Ferdinando Maria Perrone, the workers' strike in 1899, and the company transformation of 1904.
