This archive was donated by Edgardo De Vito, whose name was linked to Ansaldo's activities for fifty years, and also includes the documents of his father, Eugenio De Vito, who was part of Ansaldo from 1905 until the 1960s; there are programmes and correspondence relating to the situation of the mechanical plant in the immediate aftermath of the Second World War.

The archive is preserved on microfilm.
